Weekdays
The seven days of the week numbered according to ISO 8601, where Monday is 1 and Sunday is 7. Each record includes the full English name, the conventional 3-letter abbreviation (Mon–Sun), and a compact 2-letter short form (Mo–Su) suitable for calendar grid headers and space-constrained UIs.

} Sources and methodology
The dataset lists the seven days of the week following the ISO 8601 standard, which designates Monday as day 1 and Sunday as day 7. This numbering is used across most of Europe, and is the default in many programming environments (e.g. date-fns, Java’s DayOfWeek, PostgreSQL’s ISODOW). Note that Sunday-first conventions differ (JavaScript’s Date.getDay() uses Sunday = 0 … Saturday = 6) — to convert, use isoNumber % 7, which maps Sunday to 0 and leaves Monday–Saturday as 1–6.
Each record provides a full English name, a 3-letter abbreviation aligned with locale-neutral conventions (Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun), and a 2-letter short form (Mo, Tu, We, Th, Fr, Sa, Su) commonly used in calendar grid column headers where space is limited.
This dataset is intentionally locale-neutral: all names are in English. For localised day names, use the CLDR data or your runtime’s Intl.DateTimeFormat API with an appropriate locale and weekday option.
Versioning
URLs under /v1/ are stable: field names and types will not change in a way
that breaks consumers. Values can be corrected or records added when the upstream source
changes; schema-incompatible updates ship under a new version path. See the
weekdays changelog for this dataset's history.
